Commentary

I was surprised at the level of success, above.  I had expected close to nothing, but I did reasonably well.  I was particularly pleased with starting up the website again, and writing over a thousand words on the various large projects I am attending to.

Ordinarily, I suppose, such a week (and the first week of the year!) would be considered poor, but I am currently holidaying in Mexico, and I had honestly expected close to nothing being achieved – though I did think there would be more reading.  However, in this case, I had a touch more down time than I expected, which allowed for writing and posting, and I unfortunately picked the wrong books for travelling.

Next week should be roughly the same, though this time I will be stationed at a hotel designed around relaxation and zero responsibility.  Which should mean I either drink away the week, or achieve some goals.  Either way, a report will come.

Each week I aim to provide an update on the Journal of Failure.  These reports are intended to provide an impetus for me to achieve as much as I should/more than I do, and also to provide a further ongoing record of my life, as it is.
